Daniel H Doherty attended King’s College London from 1855-57. He served in the 3rd (the King’s Own) Regiment of the (light) Dragoons; 3rd (the King’s Own) Regiment of Hussars; 2nd Brigade North Irish Division. On the 3rd April 1886 Captain Daniel H. Doherty was given the honorary rank of Major from the 2nd Brigade North Irish Division.
